Cartlandia Engagement Session

Cartlandia Engagement Session

Lauren and Kevin’s Cartlandia Engagement Session was SO much fun! Not only was it the only time I didn’t get rained on for a session that week but their ability to have fun with each other just made this whole session so enjoyable. This may have been the rainiest spring and summer I ever remember having but it has not lacked from love and that has brightened things up considerably.

I so enjoyed exploring Portland with these two, I definitely need to go back because I did not get enough time to try all the yummy food. If you’ve never been to Portland’s Cartlandia it’s this amazing food truck haven. It’s as cute as it is yummy and everyone there is the kindest and most inspiring creators of yummy food. They let Lauren and Kevin cuddle up next to their food trucks without a hesitation. Meeting kind souls is always inspiring in a world where we are taught to only care for ourselves.

Lauren and Kevin were so obviously head over heals for each other and that’s always my favorite thing to watch when a couple is so in love that they forget everything else around them. I’m so happy I had the chance to meet them and capture their sweet love. Now feel free to scroll through and witness their adorable love. ūüôā

A Heartfelt Proposal ~ David and Joanna

Life is full of special moments that you will never forget, the moment you propose to the love of your life is one of them. Getting to document this amazing moment for my brother is one of mine. I’ll never forget his sweet words to my future sister in law Joanna, the tears of joy from them both and their loving embrace. I have a big old smile on my face right now just thinking back on it. It’s a powerful moment when you say yes to forever with your best friend. It’s a day that you will look back on over the years as your home fills with children and the wrinkles start to form on your face looking at each other and remembering that fond moment that this beautiful journey began.

My brother David took Joanna back to the spot where he asked her to be his girlfriend which was so sweet! I was hiding in the bushes with my face practically in the dirt to make sure Joanna wouldn’t see me. I got there an hour before they did so I won’t lie hiding in those bushes with all the sounds of creatures moving around definitely amped up the anticipation. I had gone over with my brother where exactly to stand but was anxious he might forget but thankfully he didn’t because I would have missed everything if he did. He got down on one knee and expressed his love for Joanna. I was snapping away sure that because of how close I was that Joanna knew I was there but it wasn’t till I stood up that she was like “Oh!” So David and I were able to pull off the perfect surprise for her!

The first time David brought Joanna home to meet us I knew she was the one for my little brother. She is just the sweetest girl and fits in perfect with the Wyman family, a love for Lord of the Rings which is essential, a good sense of humor and a love and care for people.

David and Joanna enjoy music and the theater, Joanna is a talented actress and they both have amazing voices. But the biggest thing about these two is their heart for serving people. They are very passionate about serving and loving people. It’s a passion that connects them deeply and makes them the perfect partner for each other. I’m so excited to see all that God will do in their life and all that they will do. I expect only amazing things from this marriage.

My brother was raised by all women but yet has turned into such a wonderful man. He went through great struggles at such a young age and has overcame it without holding on to bitterness but becoming instead a sweet and caring man. I cannot express how proud I am of him¬†and I’m so SO happy that my baby brother has found such a loving, sweet and caring women to call his wife. It makes my heart so happy to see his life full of so much love and joy.

I will make myself stop now because I am so emotional about this one that I could go on forever about them but I will just let you scroll through and see this beautiful, heartfelt proposal.

I’ve been neglecting blogging recently as I’ve been traveling and working like crazy but I promise to be better as I have so much to share with you all. I just have to start with this heartwarming NYC Proposal because it’s impossible to not love!

This proposal was one of the sweetest things ever! Adam and Elyse are such a sweet couple and their love for each other was so evident! Real tears were shed and real joy was plastered all over Elyse’s face. I wish more people were as thoughtful as Adam and hire a photographer to be there for their proposal. Capturing the afterglow of this proposal was such a high, their love is so beautiful!

The SeaGlass Carousel in Battery Park in NYC was a stunning and epic location! NYC is such a romantic city at night and the perfect¬†atmosphere to compliment these two. The romantic city lights and the glow on both Adam’s and Elyse’s faces were so beautiful I couldn’t help but swoon.¬†What an honor it was to capture this moment for them! This is exactly what I love so much about my job is capturing moments like this for my clients to treasure forever. It’s the best feeling ever and it will always give me a high to get to capture genuine emotions. A Fun, Quirky, & Intimate In-Home Couple Session ~ Salina & Kyle

A Fun, Quirky, & Intimate In-Home Couple Session ~ Salina & Kyle

I could not be more excited to share Salina and Kyle’s In-Home Couple session! This married couple and their cat were SO much fun! I just adore couples like this who are just unapologetically¬†their unique selves, it’s awesome. We literally just hung out and I capture all the awesome moments. They made nachos, jumped on the bed, had a pillow fight, Kyle serenaded¬†Salina, and Salina “accidentally” kicked him in the jaw (hahaha just kidding it was really and accident). We laughed a lot and I could just feel the friendship and love that was there. Those are the best kind of marriages, full of friendship and laughter. It always warms my heart to see.

I loved getting to know these two, see their everyday home life and watch them love each other. They both adore books, we went into the bedroom to get some pictures of them reading, when it was time to move on I actually had to stop them and they both moaned cause they had just got to any interesting part in their book. Total nerds and I love it cause I am too! They love music and food and just goofing off with each other. Just the kind of people I like to hang around. I am so thankful my job puts me in touch with awesome couples like this!

I had such a blast with these guys and now In-Home Couple Session are like my new favorite thing, so please, reach out and let’s hang out! You bring the awesome and I’ll bring my camera, it will be a rad time. In the mean time enjoy some of my favorite images from Salina and Kyle’s session!

A Romantic Elopement In The Adirondacks

A Romantic Elopement In The Adirondacks

In January I was able to work together with some very talented vendors for a romantic styled elopement in the frigid winds on Brant Lake in the Adirondacks. We had the bravest models who withstood those frigid winds like champs in wedding attire so we could capture pure magic. I love using real couples for styled shoots because a real intimate relationship is the icing on the cake of a beautiful collaboration. The way these two look at each other made us all feel warm and fuzzy inside. Oh, I just love capturing real love! We all got lost in the gorgeous mountain backdrop and the overall beauty of the day.

All of these pretty details are the effort of some incredible wedding vendors. Sweet Caroline Styles provided the absolutely stunning bridal attire that I still cannot stop swooning over. Blooms For Rooms created all the beautiful floral arrangements and wow are they gorgeous! The Fox And The Stone created the stunning jewelry which is so unique and stunning! Kingsbury Printing Co designed the paper goods which was a perfect touch! Jonathan Reid provided the attire for our handsome groom. Baked By Jordan baked our intimate little cake which was as tasty as it was pretty. Deliciously Different Specialty Items provided the dinning wear and vintage rentals. Blush518 did an amazing job on hair and make up! Jimbos Club At The Point hosted us at their beautiful venue. And Kate Taylor Event & Wedding Planning helped bring us all together and I couldn’t be more thankful!

How blessed I am to get to work with such amazing and inspiring creatives! I couldn’t be more thrilled with these images and I’m so excited to finally share them with you! After you’re done take a moment and to look up my fellow creatives and leave them some love!
