Powell City Of Books Engagement Session

Powell City Of Books Engagement Session

I haven’t blogged in what seems like forever. Sorry guys! I’ve been travel quite a bit already this spring but I will try and keep up and share all of these awesome sessions, weddings and elopements I’ve been documenting. I will start off with this adorable engagement session at Powell’s City of Books. In the beginning of April after just getting home from Italy I flew off to Seattle to spend time exploring and photographing with some great friends I met in Ireland last year. One of our first stops was in Portland wear we met Lauren and Kevin who are just the sweetest and most adorable engaged couple. I know I was audibly making aw noises the whole time with these two. And you couldn’t of asked for a more romantic and quaint location than Powell’s. As a huge book lover I could have probably spent a week in this magical place. Anyone else feel that time at a book store is a great date night? I know Tim and I love it and any chance we have when we are childfree it’s one of our favorite places to be if we aren’t spending our time outdoors.

You will see more of these two cuties as we did go to another location and more adorableness ensued but I didn’t have room to show you here, so you’ll have to wait a little longer. I definitely loved exploring Portland, it should be added to anyone’s travel list who loves unique shops and restaurants. And although I was much more excited to go explore Oregon’s beautiful landscapes I was charmed by the beauty of Portland as well. I did feel quite at home here.

I’m so glad I got a chance to meet Lauren and Kevin and document their sweet love. I don’t think you can be around the two of them without smiling. They were seriously so sweet but don’t just take my word for it, go ahead and scroll down and enjoy their adorable session!

An Adventure Session In The Appalachian Mountains

I hope you all had a wonderful and merry Christmas! I’m fighting off a cold this morning but I’m thankful I wasn’t sick for Christmas at least. Christmas is so much more special with kids, it truly is magical. I hope you all had such a rich and refreshing time with your family. Tim and I both took time off this week and it’s been a nice refresher but I’m trying to get back to it this morning with this gorgeous adventure session on the Appalachian Trail.

Adam and Danielle are one of the sweetest couples. Danielle is a fun loving spirit with a tendency to be a bit forgetful and Adam is ever so patient with her. You can tell how in love with each other they are and that’s always my favorite to see. They are one of my 2018 couples and I just cannot wait for their wedding day.

We planned on a hike for this session but were surprised when there was some actual rock climbing involved but Adam and Danielle were total champs about it! We got to the perfect spot right as the sun was setting and their love and the gorgeous surroundings made for an absolutely gorgeous session. I couldn’t of been more thrilled about Danielle’s vibrant red dress. I wish more women would wear red to their engagement sessions!

The mountains are definitely my happy place and I love when couples are up for a hike and an adventure! I hope you all enjoy this adventure session and this sweet couple! What would you like to see next? Would you like me to blog a wedding next or travel log from my trip to Hawaii? Let me know in the comments!

Adventure Session in Jean Lafitte National Park

Adventure Session in Jean Lafitte National Park

This stunning adventure session in New Orleans at Jean Lafitte National Park was one of my favorite parts of this summer. Megan and Evan are one of my 2018 couples and for their engagement session they wanted to explore New Orleans with me. We braved the swamps at Jean Lafitte National Park with all of its alligators and we were glad we did. As every National Park I’ve been too, Jean Lafitte was full of gorgeous sites and beauty.

Things started off a little rough as I got totally lost, never trust Google Maps! Hahaha. It took me to an abandoned construction site instead of the national park. But once we finally got to the right place we had such an amazing time. Evan and Megan are such a fun couple! I’m sure you’ll see that just from their photos, they are a ton of fun to hang out with. We adventured around the city for a day too, ate at some awesome¬†restaurants, walked around French Quarter.

New Orleans is like their second home and I can definitely see why they love it so much. It’s a city full of music, art, history and great beauty. I love walking through a city and live music is just everywhere. A marching band walked right past us playing amazing music and almost every street had someone performing. I fell in love and can’t wait for my next adventure in New Orleans!

The love of Megan and Evan was the only thing more enchanting than New Orleans so it was a beautiful pairing. I just can’t wait for their wedding next year! I know it will be a day full of love and a lot of laughter because that’s just how they are. I love couples who are just unashamedly themselves. You are never to old to be a goofball with your best friend!

Enjoy some of my favorite moments from this rad couple’s adventure session! And don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to plan your own adventure session! I have dates available for Hawaii this couples sessions this October. Shoot me an email for more details! I would love to meet some more adventurous couples while I’m there!

An Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session ~ Alan and Andrea

An Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session ~ Alan and Andrea

I had such a lovely time with Alan and Andrea in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement session! What a charming place and with these two it was full of romance and adorableness. It drizzled throughout their entire session but they were total champs and we braved the rain. Even with the rain it was still one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been too. Full of beauty and rich history Alexandria should be on everyone’s list of places that you must visit. All the little shops, the charming architecture and sweet people makes it a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. My stay there really felt like stepping on to the set of You’ve Got Mail, it was truly that charming.

Alan and Andrea are so adorable! All it takes is one visit with them to tell they still give each other butterflies and are each other’s biggest fans. That’s the kind of genuine love I adore to witness and capture. I have known Andrea since high school and it makes me so happy to see her with such a sweet and caring man. He seriously dotes on her and she is definitely his biggest supporter and best friend. I get giddy thinking of their wedding day that is quickly approaching! It will truly be a special day!

Thank you for inviting me to the place that captured both of your hearts and the place you met and fell in love! Such a wonderful experience! Also special thanks to Andrea for helping me jumpstart my car after I left my lights on in the middle of D.C. Hahaha what an adventure! Enjoy some of my favorites from my time with Andrea and Alan and stay tuned for their wedding this October!

A Philadelphia Magic Gardens Engagement ~ Katy & Luke

A Philadelphia Magic Gardens Engagement ~ Katy & Luke

Philadelphia is a magical city and I had the pleasure of exploring it a bit with Katy and Luke for their E session. We had a great time and they showed me the hidden gem John F. CollinS Park and then we went to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens which is every bit as magical as I thought it would be! It’s like a completely different world! Isn’t it amazing how art can take you places you’ve never been before. It was so special getting to enjoy it with one of my 2017 couples. I love engagement sessions, they are such a great time to spend with my couples before their wedding day. What better way to spend your day then walking around and adoring art and hidden gems in the beautiful city of Philly?

As you scroll through their engagement session I’m sure it will be obvious that Katy and Luke are such a sweet and loving couple. They were so patient with me as I drove past our meeting spot five times before I realized it was the spot, I get lost so easily in the city. I also fell in front of a ton of people in an extravagant¬†way, as is the Bethel way. So all in all I wasn’t on the top of my game but they were SO kind about it all and I feel that says a lot about who they are, genuinely sweet people.

I wish I had more room to show more of their session but I don’t want to overwhelm you guys. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from their session! I cannot wait for their wedding day and I can’t wait to explore Philadelphia again with some of my other couples! Enjoy the beauty and sweetness below!
