A Charming Union League Wedding

A Charming Union League Wedding

This charming Union League Wedding was such an honor to document! You know when you meet people who inspire you to be a better person? Well that’s Alison and Kyle, you can’t be around them without being inspired. They are genuinely kind souls with a hearts that long to help others. Just a couple days before their wedding they rescued their second puppy by adopting him even when everyone thought they were nuts. In a world where people tend to be cruel and mean to each other it’s always a treasure to meet people with big hearts.

Alison and Kyle are just the perfect match and I loved being invited along to witness their love story! Their day was full of beauty, laughter and epic partying! They had Go Go Gadjet preform at their reception and it was like being invited to be at a rock concert but even more fun. I love when guest get so into dancing and are signing every word along with the band! Those are my kind of people!

Every bit of their wedding day was so charming, from the venue, the flowers to their sweet reactions to seeing each other for the first time. Union League is such an amazing place to hold a wedding, it’s historic building was the perfect touch. Philadelphia is one of my favorite cities, such a diverse city, full of art and music and love. Although I do love traveling all over the world documenting love stories I always adore my local Philly weddings. Each one is so special and full of heart.

Ultimately the best weddings are those filled with the most heart, no matter where they are, how many guest, or how much money you spend, if you put your heart into your wedding it will be the day of your dreams. It’s all about a celebration of love. So whether you want to declare your love on a mountain top on in a church just make sure you put who you are as a couple into your day, as Alison and Kyle did.

Enjoy scrolling through!

Lanai Lookout Adventure Session

Lanai Lookout Adventure Session

Making new friends all around the world is one of my favorites things! I was able to meet Samantha and Josh while I was in Hawaii and I’m so glad! We had a lot of fun playing around at Lanai Lookout as the sun was setting and the waves were crashing against the rocks and spraying us. This was my last session before flying home so it was a little bittersweet as I definitely didn’t want to leave the beauty of Hawaii but I was so thankful for the chance to see so much beauty and meet so many awesome people in my short visit.

I was able to meet two new couples, one awesome and beautiful woman and spend time with one of my 2017 brides on their honeymoon on this trip. All in only 2 and half days, which basically meant I never stopped moving while I was in Hawaii but it was 100% worth it! I wouldn’t of had it any other way!

I’m always happiest at Adventure Sessions because I get to explore the beauty of nature while also documenting a love story. It’s pretty much my favorite. Wild and adventurous souls are my my bread and butter. Hiking, rock climbing, wading through streams it’s all my favorite and I love when I find couples who love it just as much as I do. Exploring this great big world is such an amazing experience, I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it. I hope you love this fun and beautiful session! Scroll down and enjoy! And for those of you interested I may be opening up some Adventure Sessions at Yosemite National Park this year, so comment below or email if you’re interested in coming with me to explore. 🙂

An Intimate Montrose PA Wedding

An Intimate Montrose PA Wedding

This gorgeous Montrose wedding on a very warm October Saturday was absolutely perfection. Alan and Andrea are one of the sweetest couples and definitely up on my list of couples who are completely smitten with each other. Alan’s love and devotion to Andrea just melts your heart and you can still see the butterflies in Andrea’s eyes as she looks at Alan. Their emotional first look just slayed my heart and to top it off Alan went above and beyond and had a gift for Andrea. There wasn’t a dry eye between us.

I wish I could just share their entire wedding album with you guys because literally every moment from their day was filled with so much emotion. Their vows, first look and I especially loved the dance she did with her sisters and brother and when her parents join at the end…. I lost it… for about the 10th time that day. It’s seriously the greatest honor to be trusted with some many love stories, family memories, and cherished moments. I will never get over it.

Along with all tears there was also a lot of fun! As you will see when scrolling through, the bridal party was a riot. We had a lot of laughs together. I have a hard time picking my favorite parts about a wedding day because I love all of it. The anticipation while getting ready to say I do to your best friend, seeing each other for the first time, vowing your love to each other, and the great celebration after you’re officially wed. All of it, all those moments and memories are what make the day so special. That and sharing it with the people you love the most and have been with you through it all. No matter what kind of wedding you chose to have, there are few things as memorable as the day you marry the love of your life.

Well thank you for listening to my speil, hahaha. I apologize, I just love what I do and the couples I get to meet and become friends with. I hope you enjoy looking through the highlights of Alan and Andrea’s wedding day. Enjoy!

Travel Log ~ Hawaii

In October I traveled with one of my 2017 couples to Hawaii to photograph their honeymoon. I only got to be there for 2 1/2 days unfortunately and between the honeymoon session and other adventure sessions I booked I only had about 3 hours to hike around and explore for myself but every second of those 3 hours was breathtaking. I hope to have many other opportunities to explore this beautiful state with madly in love couples. I’ll be sharing the adventure sessions soon on the blog but for now I wanted to show you some of the beauty of Hawaii’s landscape.

I was able to hike up to Manoa Falls and go on a tour of Kualoa Ranch and holy crap Hawaii is INSANELY gorgeous! Everywhere you go is really like walking in paradise. I know that for most people Hawaii’s beaches are what draws them to Hawaii but for me it’s all about their other worldy mountains. I seriously couldn’t get enough! I was super stoked to explore Kualoa Ranch as the big film nerd that I am! For those who don’t know Kualoa Ranch is the place where Jurassic Park, Lost and many other films were filmed and it’s no mystery why. Parts of Jurassic Park were filmed at Manoa Falls as well. I was pretty much geeking out the whole time.

It was nice to take some time just for me to hike around and explore even though it wasn’t work related. I’ve definitely worked so much this year, hiking with my couples which is AMAZING and I love every second of it but I forgot to take time to go hike and explore just for the fun of it. One of my many New Years Resolutions is to make more time to hike just for fun. But I have to admit that even when I take time off for just me I still find couples and offer to photograph them. Hahaha yeah, when I was exploring Kualoa Ranch I saw a couple struggling to get some selfies of themselves next to the gorgeous landscapes so I offered to take their pictures with my camera and sent them some edited pictures. I kinda don’t know how to stop working, but that’s only because I am so passionate about it and truly love what I do.

Driving in Hawaii is pretty awesome, I mean I wouldn’t mind that view on my way to work everyday. Just saying. The atmosphere is amazing and the people are so kind. The limited time I spent in Hawaii was enough to get me hooked and I will definitely be making another trip to this beautiful place. The rest of my trip in Hawaii I was happily following couples and one gorgeous model around Hawaii’s beaches, caves and waterfalls. I can’t wait to share all of that with you guys but for now enjoy the majestic beauty of Hawaii!

A Stunning John James Audubon Wedding

A Stunning John James Audubon Wedding

Brittany and Bryan’s John James Audubon wedding was absolutely stunning! Every part of their day was incredibly beautiful! From their emotional first look to their gorgeous apple orchard ceremony this day was perfect! Brittany and Bryan are some of the kindest, warm hearted people I know, I am continually blessed by the couples I get to meet. I loved that Brittany chose to center her decor for her wedding entirely around the way Bryan proposed to her, over a game of scrabble. And she chopped off all her hair in support of her mother who was battling cancer right before her wedding. People who care that much about others like this just touch my heart.

It was a beautiful October day at the John James Audubon’s lovely venue. The light was stunning from sunrise to sunset as if it was showing off just for Bryan and Brittany. I was just in awe of the beautiful grounds at John James but what captivated me most was the heart of this wedding. So many emotional moments filled with beauty. Witnessing these beautiful moments that will become cherished memories is my favorite part of what I do. It’s so special to me and it’s why I do what I do.

As I watch my couples and their friends and family celebrate at their receptions my heart is always so full of joy. Bryan and Brittany’s reception was a fun one for sure! I mean they had a donut bar, and I believe that having a donut bar at your wedding says a lot about you…. and that is that you’re AWESOME! Donuts are the bomb guys. But for real as I ended the night by a campfire with these two my heart couldn’t of been more full from all the love I witnessed on this day. It still makes my eyes swell with tears as I look through these images.

I hope you all enjoy scrolling through and if you’re a Philadelphia bride be sure to check out this gorgeous venue! It’s definitely one of Philly’s treasures!
