A Romantic Elopement In The Adirondacks

A Romantic Elopement In The Adirondacks

In January I was able to work together with some very talented vendors for a romantic styled elopement in the frigid winds on Brant Lake in the Adirondacks. We had the bravest models who withstood those frigid winds like champs in wedding attire so we could capture pure magic. I love using real couples for styled shoots because a real intimate relationship is the icing on the cake of a beautiful collaboration. The way these two look at each other made us all feel warm and fuzzy inside. Oh, I just love capturing real love! We all got lost in the gorgeous mountain backdrop and the overall beauty of the day.

All of these pretty details are the effort of some incredible wedding vendors. Sweet Caroline Styles provided the absolutely stunning bridal attire that I still cannot stop swooning over. Blooms For Rooms created all the beautiful floral arrangements and wow are they gorgeous! The Fox And The Stone created the stunning jewelry which is so unique and stunning! Kingsbury Printing Co designed the paper goods which was a perfect touch! Jonathan Reid provided the attire for our handsome groom. Baked By Jordan baked our intimate little cake which was as tasty as it was pretty. Deliciously Different Specialty Items provided the dinning wear and vintage rentals. Blush518 did an amazing job on hair and make up! Jimbos Club At The Point hosted us at their beautiful venue. And Kate Taylor Event & Wedding Planning helped bring us all together and I couldn’t be more thankful!

How blessed I am to get to work with such amazing and inspiring creatives! I couldn’t be more thrilled with these images and I’m so excited to finally share them with you! After you’re done take a moment and to look up my fellow creatives and leave them some love!

Caroline & Conor ~ A Winter Wonderland Engagement Session

Caroline & Conor ~ A Winter Wonderland Engagement Session

Caroline and Conor were convince that they were “awkward” but the second I got them in front of my camera I knew that wasn’t true, in fact they are one of the most adorable couples I’ve ever worked with! They couldn’t stop smiling and giggling and it was so sweet! I had the most fun with these two and I’m sure anyone would have a hard time not smiling being around them. It was so obvious they adored each other because every time I asked them to just look at each other they broke into laughter and smiles.

We had the perfect winter wonderland scenery for their engagement session. We waited quite awhile for it to snow and the moment it did I messaged Caroline that moment to make sure we schedule their session for the next day so we had snow for them. Good thing we jumped at the chance because the snow was gone the next morning. Oh good old Pennsylvania and it’s bipolar weather. Hahaha it never fails, every year we have completely different and crazy weather.

I’m so glad we got to capture their winter wonderland romance and I cannot wait for their wedding this summer! I can already tell it will be such a special day, full of love and a lot of joy! I adore these two and I’m sure you all will fall in love as you scroll through their images.  Their love and joy are totally contagious so if you’re having a rough morning these two are guaranteed to cheer you up. Enjoy some moments from their lovely engagement session and try not to faint due to swooning over these guys. 😉

An Intimate and Romantic Winter Engagement ~ Krystal and Jake

An Intimate and Romantic Winter Engagement ~ Krystal and Jake

Krystal and Jake seriously make you swoon with how unapologetically intimate and romantic they are with each other. I gave them hardly any direction, I just sat back and enjoyed capturing their genuine love for each other. Jake dotes on Krystal the way any girl would dream of and Krystal adores her man in the way all men hope for but would never dare admit. Their relationship is truly sweet to witness and I’m so honored I got to capture it on camera.

We explored Jake’s parent’s gorgeous property where Jake proposed and I totally wanted to move in, it was so beautiful there! Krystal was such a champ hiking around in the snow in a dress with no leggings! And they both were gracious and didn’t laugh at me when I fell and landed right on my butt, twice! Which I give them props for because I know for a fact that I looked completely ridiculous! It was one of those epic falls where you legs come all the way out from under you into the air and the you land directly on you back. In the manner of minutes I did it twice. I think someone needs better hiking/snow boots.

These two got married last weekend in Florida but I’m only now posting their engagement session. Fail, Bethel, fail. But here are all my favorites from their cuddly, romantic, dreamy engagement session. I hope you enjoy! Many joyful years of marriage to you Krystal and Jake!

P.S. I also just have to mention how phenomenal both Krystal and Jake’s hair is! I mean come on, they are just stunning!

The Baechtle Family ~ Rock Mountain Bible Camp

The Baechtle Family ~ Rock Mountain Bible Camp

I love working with families because each one is so different and each family has it’s own special way of connecting with each other. It’s always such an honor to get a glimpse of that. The Baechtle family was so much fun to photograph and I hope I don’t embarrass them to say so but so adorable. Their session was full of genuine laughter and smiles and even though it was pretty cold we all had fun.

One of my favorite things to do at a family session is ask mom and dad to kiss and it always results in a ton of laughter and silliness, no matter if the kids are in kindergarten or adults it always makes them laugh. And then later I take them away from the rest of the family and let them get some just couple pictures and it’s always sweet to see them stop being mom and dad for a second and just be into each other.

I’ll always leave time for family sessions no matter how booked my wedding season gets because they will always have a special place in my heart. Everyone one in this family session are just totally awesome people and I’m glad I had the opportunity to hang out with them for a bit. I adored their family session and I hope you all enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!
